Divemaster is your first step into the exciting world of professional diving.

Our Divemaster Training Program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a trusted guide, sharing the magic of the underwater world with others. Imagine a career filled with exploration, adventure, and a deep connection to the ocean.
Our two-week Divemaster Introduction is a unique starting point. This introductory period will orient you to our program, the dive shop, and boat operations. You’ll dive, learn essential Divemaster skills, and build water confidence by working on Buoyancy and navigation.
Plus, you’ll gain valuable dive experience, complete prerequisites, and enjoy the Koh Tao lifestyle while connecting with fellow Divemaster trainees.
Our workshops throughout your divemaster training enhance your dive knowledge and experience. You’ll delve into decompression theory, equipment maintenance, dive physiology, marine conservation, and dive site mapping. Underwater, you’ll refine rescue skills, create dive site maps, participate in eco-dives, assist instructors on courses and practice Divemaster duties under expert guidance. All this whilst fundiving with other DMTs (that’s Divemaster Trainees) and following professional Divemasters with customers as much as you like.
Our Divemaster program integrates conservation education, preparing you to be an ocean steward. Through workshops, eco-dives, and hands-on activities like coral health monitoring, fish ID, water quality testing, and ghost net removal, you’ll learn to protect and preserve marine ecosystems.
Combine eco training with your divemaster training to become an ecoDivemaster. This will deepen your impact and become a leader in marine conservation.

How does tomorrow sound? No but serious, any time you’d like to join, we will make space so it’s flexible based on your schedule. You can also split up the program if you want to travel for a bit and come back.
As much as you want really! There are 4 to 5 dives possible each day so fundive as much as you can. You’ll likely dive twice a day when assiting on courses. Some of that time will also be spent in the pool learning how to teach skills.
When you first start out you can borrow our equipment during your course but you’ll quickly see how much better it is to have your own gear. The only thing we do not supply is an SMB (inflatable floaty noodle), a torch and a dive computer. You can rent the torch or dive computer until you get your own. It’s usually really good to have your own mask. With any of the gear, there’s great facebook group where you can buy and sell used diving gear.
There isn’t much difference between these agencies until you get to instructor level. So we will promote the dive school that is the best fit for you regardless of agency. If you have a strong preference however then let us know. All at no extra cost to you.
So first of all, you’ll be an awesome diver! Congratulations! With your certification you can decide to work in the diving industry anywhere in the world as a Dive Guide. Taking people out on guided dives and showing them awesome things underwater.
Only a tourist visa is needed. A number of countries are visa exempt, meaning they can enter thailand for 30 days without a visa. This can then be extended for another 30 days at an immigration office (there’s one in Koh Tao, hooray!)
Alternatively apply for a 60 day tourist visa that can be extended another 30 days at the immigration office on Koh Tao.
The absolute minimum you need is 4 weeks but people rarely do this version. You get free fundives during your divemaster training so you’re more likely to spend between 6-8 weeks and enjoy the course as a part of your new life on the tropical island.
No. It’s often not a good idea to do a free internship anyway. The dive schools who offer it can make you work as much as they want for very little pay for the next 6 to 12 months.
