About Go Tao Diving

We work with only a select handful of the top dive schools on the island that have been chosen by our team who are all divers. We have all either worked, lived or trained on the island so we know what we are talking about!

We only work with those that we have dove (or is it diven?) with personally and have proven to be a reputable dive center based on safety records and guest feedback. All you have to do is choose what day you want to start! It’s that easy.

What is ssi, PADI Or Raid?

Everyone has heard of PADI and people even usually say “I’m going to get my PADI” when they are referring to their open water course. PADI is actually a scuba diving agency and a rather old one, having started back in 1970.

SSI stands for Scuba Schools International and it is now the world’s largest store-based Scuba Diving training agency. It was started only 4 years after PADI and has grown over the years to take a very big market share.

RAID was started in 2007 as a tech diving agency but has now branched into recreational diving and has experienced tremendous growth with their unique and modernised teaching styles.

These agencies may have small little differences in teaching styles or structures but fundamentally they are all the same and provide the same course.

Once you have your Open Water Diver Certificate, you will be able to dive at any center in the world within your certification limits. The agencies all provide the same level of quality training and when certified you will be at equivalent levels.
